There is no denying it – couture is taking over. High fashion is becoming more affordable and available to the public every day. And at the forefront of this fashion storm is a G. Yes, a G. Gucci. This Italian-born fashion powerhouse is one of the hottest companies in existence today. Shoes, clothes, handbags, and even men’s fashions – this company tackles all of the new trends fearlessly.

So what new trend are they leading the way in for 2011? It’s not luggage – they have done that. It is not men’s shoes – they have done that too. Think smaller – much, smaller. This year, Gucci has released a line of miniature dog key rings, complete with all the style of any other Gucci piece released.

These Guccioli charms, as they are called, are seven little suede and leather dogs of different breeds. Each dog is designed with the creative hand of Gucci designers and a name of its own. It is almost like each dog has its own personality. It’s a miniature pet that can fit not only in your purse but on your keys without the maintenance. And at $150 each, they cost as much as some puppies.

Each little dog is made with the signature G-covered canvas with black suede features. They are trimmed in gold leather with gold detailing. They all wear signature Gucci charms somewhere on them, to remind the user of the fashion that they are buying. Each of these little darlings is just too cute to pass up! Let’s meet our dogs:
Most of the Gucci dog key rings wear the charm on a collar around their neck. The first of the series is Oliver. Oliver is a pug. With his head curiously tilted to one side, he is irresistibly cute. Our second dog – Agnese is a bulldog. This is the classic cartoon image of a bulldog with a big head and a little body. So classic that it just makes you smile. Our third dog is Leroy. Leroy is a smaller breed. He is actually a French Bulldog. He has more black suede on his face and tail. Brando is the Chihuahua. This is no Taco Bell dog, though. This perky little thing screams style. The last of these key rings is Sam, the hound dog. He is the classic hound, too, right down to his big sad eyes and his floppy ears of black suede. He wears the collar as well with the Gucci tag.

Two of the dogs are different. They sport the Gucci charms not on a collar, but elsewhere.  Lulu is the diva of the group. She is a poodle. Like the others, she is made of the G canvas and the black suede, but her frilly cut is made of brown fringe to make her look more like a traditional poodle from head to toe. Instead of a collar, Lulu sports her charm as a hair accessory, just about her ear, accenting the fringe pouf on top of her head. The last dog of the series is Artu, the dachshund. He is the perfect image of a dachshund with short legs and big floppy ears. His charm is on one of these big floppy ears.

These little dogs were instantly popular, and there is no wondering why. These key ring sized pets are adorable. Gucci put all the needed effort into each and every one, and it came out well. These little dog key rings are a perfect example of why Gucci is at the top of the fashion world, and all the rage.
